A wonderful time for family, friends and neighbors to enjoy a fall afternoon together at Fountain Park with the background tunes provided by Mellowgroove. Bring a friend or neighbor! A time to get acquainted with other neighbors around town who make Rock Hill the wonderful city it is! Delight yourself with fresh ice cream treats and other refreshments while dancing to the tunes. Come enjoy an afternoon together!

Watch the film, Jail No Bail, which pays tribute to the Friendship Nine, a group of college students who were arrested for a lunch counter sit-in in Rock Hill, SC in 1961. Q&A to follow. Moderated by Dr. Jeannie Haubert, Professor of Sociology.

The Catawba Indians have lived on their ancestral lands along the banks of the Catawba River dating back at least 6000 years. The river is so integral to the lives of the Catawba that the tribal people call themselves yeh is-WAH h’reh, meaning “people of the river.” Join the Catawba Nation, People Are Good Project, along with the City of Rock Hill Community Relations Council to celebrate the legacy of the Catawba river, hike the trails on the reservation, and pick up any trash you see along the way.
Trail Hike: A family friendly event for hikers of all ages. Be prepared for hills and natural trails. Meet in the big building at the Catawba Cultural Center (1536 Tom Steven Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730) at 11 AM
River Clean up: Experienced paddlers are invited to join the river sweep, leaving from River park at 8 am. All paddlers must RSVP.
